About the roleThe Homestay program supports people to maintain their current accommodation or to access more sustainable accommodation.
In this role you will provide mobile, outreach and centre based case management support to individuals and families experiencing vulnerabilities in Townsville.
You will operate from a strengths based and capacity building framework to ensure the promotion of social inclusion, human rights, participation and consumer choice.
In addition, you will collaborate with other agencies and organisations to source appropriate support for clients.
What you will bring A Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Social and Community Services with a minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience; or other relevant qualifications, skills and experience that demonstrate equivalence to this standard Proven ability to provide high quality, specialist casework support and case management Demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs, including conducting risk assessments, and developing effective case plans and safety planning Experience in working competently with staff and clients from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds with respect and humility Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to interagency collaboration and ability to lead collaboration, advocate and network with internal and external stakeholders Working with Children Check and Driver Licence are mandatory requirements of this role Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.

Hourly rate from $85,145.84+ superannuation + access to salary packaging.
