We currently have a vacancy for a Perishable Export Specialist in our Perishables team based in our Brisbane Airport office.
Overall Role Purpose: The Perishable Export Specialist is responsible for:
Managing processes, handling and distributing all required documentation in the shipping area.
Coordinating pickup arrangements.
Ensuring customer requirements are met and all required documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Creating / confirming transport orders to ensure pickup of the shipment at origin.
Performing booking and booking optimization.
Preparing, controlling, and distributing all required Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.).
Checking responses from counterparts and finalizing validation of required documents.
Following up on shipment status in the Export area, identifying incidents and ensuring resolution of incidents.
Supporting Customer Service in incident and exception management resolution.
Maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers.
Identifying performance issues of suppliers and proposing solutions to improve/correct performance.
Performing IT systems related tasks to provide up-to-date information on shipments.
Skills / Qualifications:
CargoWise system experience required.
Extensive knowledge of AFR / OFR Export Operations.
Minimum one (1) year previous experience in Shipping / International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight operational roles (advantageous).
Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general.
Dangerous Goods Accreditation (highly regarded).
Results & outcome driven.
Able to work independently.
Follow origin & destination government requirements.
Adaptable to changes daily due to customer & airline requests.
High degree of reliability and attention to detail.
Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
Be results driven and demonstrate strong communication and administration skills.
