About the job
As a Business Operations Manager at Aquila, you will be central to our mission of revolutionising how the world is powered by building and operating an infinitely scalable energy network.
You'll oversee key operational activities—managing hiring and grant processes, organising company events, and collaborating across teams—to ensure Aquila runs smoothly and can continue pushing the boundaries of optical power transfer technology.
Your end-to-end ownership will extend from strategy to execution, making you a pivotal contributor to our fast-growing startup.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage company-wide hiring pipelines, grant documentation, and day-to-day office operations.
Lead and organise internal and external events, from offsites to product demos.
Coordinate budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships to support our engineering and R&D teams.
Oversee external communications, including social media and recruitment marketing.
Ensure smooth collaboration across teams, proactively spotting and addressing gaps.
Requirements
Proven experience in business operations, administration, or a similar role, with a strong knack for organisation and follow-through.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solver who independently seeks out advice and resources to meet company objectives.
Passion for teamwork and ownership—eager to learn, adapt, and bring new ideas.
