Nursing - Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical)
Montefiore is expanding their after-hours nursing team and as such, a highly competent and professional After-Hours Supervisor is sought to oversee the delivery and continuity of clinical care.
This role would suit a Registered Nurse who is available to work three to four shifts per week.
About the Role: Reporting to the General Manager Residential Care Services, this position plays a key management role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and visitors through:
Supporting the 'after-hours' operations of Residential Care at designated sitesSupporting and directing RNs, Team leaders, AINs, and CSEs after hoursProviding incident management, investigation support, and leadership under the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) including registering these in the MyAgedCare portalEscalating serious issues and incidents to senior management in a timely mannerSupporting family and resident enquiries and feedback after hoursSupporting effective roster replacement ensuring adequate staff are available for upcoming shiftsAssisting Registered Nurses on the unit (medication administration) where operational requirements deem it necessary for safetyAbout You: Registered Nurse with current and unrestricted AHPRA registrationA minimum of four years' post-graduate experienceProven expertise in leadership, supervision, and managementDemonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision-making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing clinical practice and service deliveryContemporary clinical knowledge and experience in an aged care setting and knowledge of aged care nursingAdvanced communication skills (both written and verbal)You will have a true passion and genuine interest in working with an older demographic and possess exceptional interpersonal skills along with excellent clinical capabilities and judgement.

Sir Moses Montefiore Jewish Home ('The Home') is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) which has been providing aged care services since 1889.
The Home can lay proud claim to being one of the oldest and most distinguished organisations serving the Sydney Jewish Community.
Montefiore Home first opened its doors on 27 October 1889 in a small premises located at South Dowling Street, Moore Park.
In 1924 the Home moved to Victoria Road, Bellevue Hill at which point it cared for 18 residents.
