In January 2019, BMG was acquired by the privately owned Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) Group, which is a well-established family business group that has been in operation since 1934 and now employs over 2,000 employees and has an annual turnover in excess of $1 billion.About the roleReporting into the General Manager, the Service Manager will have full responsibility for all business operations of the multi franchise new car service division which has approximately 30 employees.Who should apply for this job?This job will provide an opportunity to lead an established service operation on an exciting journey of development and growth; and will be of interest to proven Service Managers looking for a long-term career opportunity. We are also happy to talk to existing Assistant Service Managers who feel ready to take the next step.Required attributes, skills and experiencePrevious service management experience in an automotive or related business such as passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, materials handling.Proven people management experience including hiring, mentoring, training and performance management.Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective dialogue with all stakeholders including customers, staff, business partners, suppliers.Proven financial and business acumen with a high level of computer skills and general technology know how.What's on offer?An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect the senior nature of this role, and will include fully maintained company vehicle, laptop and phone.
