Security Officer

About the role: We are seeking casual Security Officers for all types of events and activities across metropolitan Sydney.
Please note: this role requires Security Guards who have a valid NSW 1A Security Licence. Whether you are looking to pick up additional shifts to supplement your income or take the next step in your Security career, we have a range of shifts available across multiple venues.
Upcoming opportunities include shifts at major sporting events and venues, concerts, festivals, iconic landmarks and much more.
You will be part of large and small professional event teams with years of experience who love working events.
Additionally, you will enjoy being part of making exciting events happen and being part of the entertainment on event days.
Your duties may include:
Welcoming people to the eventProviding ticketing or credential access control at entryChecking for restricted and prohibited itemsRoaming through the crowd monitoring peopleManaging crowds and providing event and venue informationSecuring event perimetersManaging restricted areas including back of house, field of play, and performance areasProtecting event assets or peopleProviding general customer service including event informationControlling access at entry and exitMaintaining conditions of entryProviding crowd direction and managementMonitoring crowd behaviour and RSAMonitoring, responding and reporting relevant incidentsSecuring restricted areasPreparing general security records and reportsSkills and experience: Security License (NSW 1A)First Aid Certificate (current)Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (current)Flexibility (events are dynamic) and availability (events are frequently evenings and weekends)Enjoy working with people (customer centric approach)Reliability and punctualityAppreciate events, sport, and entertainmentWhat ACESGroup has to offer: Training and upskilling (internal Registered Training Organisation)Amazing workplaces (Sydney's best events, venues, and places)Paid meal breaksUniform providedSuperior career pathways and opportunitiesConvenient sites / locationsSuccessful growing company with diverse opportunitiesAttractive conditions.About us: ACESGroup are a leading national provider of security services to a large portfolio of public and private facilities.
