40336 Mount Isa Mines is one of the oldest, largest and most complex mining operations in Australia, employing over 4,000 people.
We are looking for a new member to join our team.
The Operation Mount Isa Mines is the second largest producer of copper in Australia and one of the largest zinc mines in the world.
It is a key asset in Glencore's global mining portfolio, integrated across the entire supply chain from resource identification and development to production and distribution of copper, zinc, and lead.

The Role We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with experience in Risk Management to join us as a Risk Advisor within the Smelting and Processing area at Mount Isa Mines on a fixed-term basis (12 months).
Reporting to the Superintendent Safety and Risk, you will provide expert risk and assurance assistance across our Glencore Queensland Metals smelting and processing operations.
This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
Your key responsibilities include: Providing specialist advice to operational teams for Processing, Smelting, and HSEC on risk identification and control management.Reviewing and facilitating risk assessments, risk management plans, and risk reports.Facilitating and reviewing departmental risk registers.Completing Bowtie assessments.Assisting in the management of Major Hazard Facilities.Reviewing, developing, and implementing critical control performance standards and verification activities.Participating in audits, tracking audit actions, and reporting on audit action progress.The successful applicants will have: Qualifications in process safety, workplace health and safety, and/or risk management.Experience developing bowties, risk registers, and critical control management processes (ICMM methodology highly regarded).Three years' experience in workplace health and safety and/or risk management (mining industry experience preferred).Experience in ISO 31000 Risk Management application.Exposure to and experience in HAZOP, HAZID, Bowtie desirable.Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity based in Mount Isa.
