Business Analyst Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future.
You will find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola.
We produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open cut mine.
It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide.
Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure, and communications.

MRM's Perks and Benefits : Attractive roster: 9 Day fortnight – 5 Days on / 2 Days off / 4 Days on / 3 Days offPermanent position with McArthur River MineEmployer Super Contributions: 13% SuperannuationCareer Development: Opportunities for advancement within a global organisationSalary Sacrificing Options: Vehicles, super, and more.Benefits Program: Excellent rewards program offering discounts on global and national brands, as well as health insurance.What we are looking for : Assist in developing the department's annual budget, mid-year reviews, and quarterly forecasts.Provide advice to stakeholders based on research and analysis of financial results.Coach stakeholders in financial knowledge to drive improved performance and to develop their understanding of the commercial implications of decision making.Contribute to process improvements for analytics and reporting for the wider business.Confidentially complete end of month deliverables within designated business timelines.Work closely and collaboratively with the broader Finance team and leaders to bring value add outputs.What you can offer : Tertiary qualification in one of the following disciplines – Commerce or Business.Demonstrated experience as an accountant – preferably in Mining, manufacturing or heavy industry.Demonstrated experience preparing high quality monthly management reports.Expertise in budget planning and financial forecasting.Proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and build effective working relationships.A problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.Demonstrated experience with SAP, Power BI, and Microsoft Suite – specifically Excel.Ability to pass pre-employment medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing and chest X-ray.Experience or ability to regularly travel to and work in a remote location.Current Glencore employees interested in this role are encouraged to discuss their application with their supervisor or manager before an interview.
