About Us: Our client is not your average mortgage and commercial brokerage.
They're a boutique firm, growing rapidly, with a passion for helping clients beat the banks and achieve their financial goals.
Our senior brokers left the traditional banking world to truly make a difference.
Now, we're looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us expand our network of major partnerships, using creativity and strategic thinking.
The Role: This isn't your typical BDM role.
We don't need someone who's content sticking to the standard referral sources – Accountants, Financial Planners, Buyers Advocates, and Real Estate Agents.
We've got those bases covered.
Instead, we need a dynamic BDM who thinks outside the box and has the financial acumen to back it up.
You will be responsible for identifying and securing unique, high-value partnerships across non-traditional industries, leveraging your finance knowledge to distinguish genuine opportunities from time-wasters.
Key Responsibilities: • Identify and Secure Major Partnerships : Go beyond the traditional sources.
Target innovative industries like tech startups, medical practices, renewable energy, transport & logistics, and franchise groups.
Your focus is on finding high-value, long-term referral relationships.
• Demonstrate Financial Competency : Use your deep understanding of mortgage and commercial finance to assess potential deals quickly and accurately.
Speak the language of finance confidently with prospective partners, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable advisor who knows what makes a deal viable.
• Relationship Building : Cultivate strong, authentic relationships with partners who align with our vision.
Understand their business needs, tailor solutions, and create mutually beneficial opportunities.
• Drive Sales and Revenue : Embrace a hunter's mentality.
Set and achieve aggressive KPIs by identifying and securing new partnerships.
You'll have clear sales targets and the autonomy to determine how best to meet them.
• Develop and Implement Growth Strategies : Create tailored business development strategies that align with our growth goals, focusing on non-traditional partnership opportunities.
• Represent Our Brand : Be the face of Silo Group at industry events, networking functions, and meetings with prospective partners.
Clearly articulate our value proposition and maintain our reputation for integrity and exceptional service.
• Reporting and Analysis : Track your progress, provide regular updates to senior management, and use data-driven insights to refine your approach.
Who You Are: • Financially Competent : You have a strong understanding of mortgage and commercial finance and can quickly identify what is and isn't a viable deal.
You speak the language of finance fluently, allowing you to engage confidently with C-level decision-makers and high-value partners.

• Industry Knowledge : Experience in mortgage and commercial lending is essential.
You have a solid grasp of the lending landscape and can navigate its complexities with ease.
