About the Role We're seeking an ITS Operations Engineer to help change how we travel.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term position.
You'll join a world leading Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team developing the brightest ideas and most inspired engineering into safer, more efficient, and more sustainable Transport Technology solutions.

Day-to-Day, You Will: Act as an escalation point, and provide 24/7 1st and 2nd level support to our Traffic Control and Operations Centres. Maintain applications, client operation systems, desktop equipment, server equipment, specialised systems and networked systems. Ensure our ITS Systems are performing to their availability and reliability targets – monitor them closely and conduct maintenance and system upgrades to keep them operating at their best. Monitor and maintain all sorts of specialised equipment, including PABXs and Trunked radio, data network equipment, CCTV equipment, Traffic Flow Systems, PLCs, and Building Security Systems. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:
Great communication and interpersonal skills – ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels. You've worked in a similar role maintaining critical systems in electrical, electronic or IT system support. You've completed a TAFE or equivalent trade qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Systems with 3-5 years' experience in a comparable industry or Engineering Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Systems Engineering. You'll be organised, efficient and decisive in prioritizing the tasks that count; pressure doesn't faze you. You have a license to drive – you love everything about our roads after all.
