Claims OfficerJob No: 673704Sydney - Inner Suburbs & CBD, Brisbane - Inner Suburbs & CBDPermanent Full TimeInsurancePay Band 4Permanent roleContribute to a strong collaborative and supportive cultureActively share knowledge and advise others with a view to building and developing the technical capabilities of the Injury Liability claims teamBrisbane or Sydney locationManage a portfolio of diverse personal injury claims (Public Liability) in accordance with policies and procedures ensuring the most cost-effective and timely outcomes are achieved. Provide assistance, advice and support with respect to our more complex claim files such as:Abuse/molestation claimsSignificant injury claimsSpecialist in worker to worker claims.Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:End to end management of Injury Liability claim files ensuring best practice processes and procedures are maintained in a cost effective and timely mannerProvide underwriters and leadership with feedback around issues or risk deficiencies identified during a claim's managementContribute to the development of the Injury Liability market profile through Best in Class claims service to our targeted market segmentIncrease awareness of the cost and consequence of technical decisions with respect to our specialist portfolioEngage with internal stakeholders on the interpretation of policies and legislation as required.Skills & Experience:5-10 years' experience managing a portfolio of liability claimsInsurance Claims experienceKnowledge and use of Mainframe applications/IT & reporting systems used by Commercial ClaimsSound knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations and guidelines applicable to the departmentAbility to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.Culture:Working as part of the Suncorp Group you will have access to an unparalleled range of job opportunities across insurance, banking and corporate services.
