Accounts Payable Officer - Exciting Career Opportunity in Transport & Logistics (Tottenham) (Onsite role)Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Officer looking for your next career challenge?
We are seeking a skilled AP Officer to join a growing transport and logistics company based in Tottenham.
If you're detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from youKey Responsibilities:Asset & Financial Management: Asset Register: Maintain and update the asset register each month.Receipts & Debtor Data: Process and update receipts and debtor data daily.New Account Applications: Conduct credit checks and set up new customer accounts in Translogix within 1 working day.Cash Management & Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations and manage cash flow.General Ledger (GL) Entries: Complete daily data entry into the system.Reconciliation Statements: Prepare and complete daily reconciliation statements.Petty Cash Reconciliation: Ensure timely reimbursement and accurate petty cash management.Creditors & Payments:Set-Up Creditors: Maintain and update supplier accounts as required.Invoice Matching: Match purchase orders to invoices on a daily basis.Invoice Reconciliation: Code, process, and reconcile invoices against supplier statements daily.Payment Processing (Cheques/EFT): Sign cheques and process EFT payments weekly.Manual Payments: Input manual payments into Translogix daily, ensuring completion by Friday each week.Payroll Back-Up: Provide support for subcontractor EFT payments and reconciliations as needed.Administrative Duties:Key Register Management (Altona): Maintain as necessary.Stationery & Printer Supplies: Monitor and order supplies monthly to ensure adequate stock levels.Utilities Register: Maintain and update the utilities register weekly as creditors are processed.Phone & Switchboard Management: Handle all incoming calls professionally and maintain the phone system.Visitor & Staff Reception: Greet and sign in visitors and staff in a professional manner.Mail Processing: Manage both internal and external mail distribution efficiently on a daily basis.General Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks across departments as required.About You:You are an organized, proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Your experience in accounts payable and finance, along with your strong problem-solving skills, will make you a valuable asset to the team.
