The low-down We pour our heart and soul into helping Aussies connect with their health in a simple and easy way. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to make our responsive web experiences beautiful and delightful for our members.
Reporting to Design leadership, you'll work collaboratively with digital squads, product and engineering peers to contribute to upgrading our design language system, build upon our design practices, and become the expert for our health experiences on the web.
In an agile environment, you'll prototype and concept features, ensuring aesthetics, accessibility, motion, and function are just right. You'll work closely with squads to discuss feasibility and design implementation both in Discovery and Delivery.
The Product Design Team At Medibank, Product Design spans the entire design process, from uncovering user needs through research to crafting exceptional visual and interaction design. Our approach is centred around putting people first, and we value collaboration across disciplines to continuously improve.
You'll be joining a talented team of over 18 designers, each bringing their unique skills and creativity to the table.
You could be the one, if… You're not afraid of a challenge and love the idea of making an impact. You have familiarity across frameworks like React, systems like AEM, and the knowledge to speak to engineers to bring your designs to life.
You've got a natural curiosity to solve problems and are articulate enough to collaborate and gain buy-in around your ideas. You'll be able to tie in your visual impact to improving the overall UX, with respected design skills around typography, grids, and colour theory.
To complement your visuals, you're able to coordinate and bring together design and product strategy, ideas, and people to arrive at the best outcome for users. You take pride in your open-minded approach and team player mentality, with resilience and a proactive nature to seek clarity and information.
Your Figma files are clean, layers logically grouped and named, and you're efficient with plugins to improve your design workflow.
These are some skills you'll possess… Great communication skills and ability to collaborate well within a team.Experienced in UX research and good analysis skills.Keen eye for detail and impeccable taste.Deep knowledge of UI best practices and design principles.Experience with design systems and accessibility.High proficiency in Figma and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Responsive web frameworks.You also: You have a growth mindset and excel at balancing impactful work with meaningful outcomes.You approach challenges with creativity and optimism.You're open to trying new approaches and innovative solutions.You role model respect, empathy, and kindness in collaboration.Imagine working with us We know happy, healthy people make great teams.
