About the role:Join us as a Workplace Relations Advisor
In this role you will play a key role in ensuring fair and timely investigations that align with Aruma's values and legal standards.
You will provide credible guidance to the People team on workplace relations matters, implement legislative changes affecting employee terms, and facilitate consultation processes.
Your expertise will help resolve various workplace relations issues, including performance management.
Additionally, you'll oversee investigations and contribute thought leadership to enhance workplace relations practices and culture within your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:identify organisational risks and take the initiative to reduce industrial risks by providing advice and support to the People team.Provide expertise and advice to key stakeholders across the full range of WR policy, programs, and practice.Successfully facilitate the consultation processes.Develop, support, and enhance WR stakeholder relationshipsMonitor IR/WR compliance across the portfolio and organisation to align with relevant legislative requirements and organisational policies and to ensure consistency of application within your portfolio.Deliver workplace relations projects to required milestones and ensure they are met with high standards.Provide effective leadership and coaching to upskill Aruma People teams and line management to effectively manage WR matters and build a strong action orientation culture towards WR (direct engagement with employees without third party interference wherever possible).Deal with complex concepts with confidence, and demonstrate knowledge, capability, and agility.Lead and conduct investigations as required.Benefits of working with ArumaSalary Packaging: Access to NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 for living expenses and additional $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses each yeartax free.Fitness Passport: Access to subsidised Gym membershipEmployee Assistance Program: Free confidential service including Money Assist, Legal Assist, Family Assist and Nutrition/Lifestyle Assist.Discounted Health Insurance: Access to a range of discounted health and wellness services through Bupa.Recognition & Rewards: Recognition for your hard work through BRAVE Reviews and our annual BRAVE Awards nightJob Satisfaction: Through making a real difference in peoples' lives within a values-driven organisation.About You:Strong WR experience (5+ years) including development and assistance with WR matters.Degree qualified in Human Resource Management or a commitment to undertake WR training (e.g., investigation training or similar).Demonstrated evidence of knowledge of contemporary workplace relations issues and best practice, and the statutory and regulatory framework in which workplace relations operates; knowledge of Australian legislative frameworks including the Fair Work Act & Regulations, National Employment Standards and Awards.A commitment to the Aruma Values, Code of Conduct, and ethical practice.A willingness to deal with complexity, rigorous problem solving and root cause analysis to solve difficult or complex problems, with analysis of both successes and failures gaining and sharing insights for improvement.Highly proficient operating skills including time management, planning, organising, technically savvy and priority setting skills effectively to deliver to deadlines and respond to multiple and diverse stakeholders.Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including consultation, facilitation, negotiation and influencing.Previous experience working with a highly unionised workforce and/or negotiating with Unions.Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement processes.Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.A full Australian driver's license, with the ability to travel intra or interstate as required.Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).Ready to make a change?
