Cover Genius is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to bridge our Design and Product teams.
You'll work on our GUI web components framework and related projects, reporting directly to the Director of Design and working closely with the Technology team.
It's an exciting and unique opportunity to become a foundation engineer in a new tech team working on a greenfield project with a large impact in a successful organization that demonstrates sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a set of reusable web components that are used by Product teams across the portfolio of business projects.
Implement design token synchronization between Figma and the web components library.
Setup code quality, QA and release automation pipelines in GitLab.
Work closely with design and product teams to establish and streamline the design-to-development workflow.
Develop internal Design System portal.
Optimize components for performance and accessibility.
Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts and prototypes into functional, high-quality web components.
Ensure consistency of the design language across all web components and applications.
Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring it meets the needs of various products and platforms.
Experience and skills:
Deep understanding of web components and modern web technologies, standards and practices and recent experience building web components in a large organization ideally using Lit, Lion and TypeScript.
Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards and experience with accessibility testing.
Experience working with design teams on implementing design system technical solutions.
Good understanding of development best practices, code reviews, continuous integration, release process, version control, code quality tools, linters, etc.
Experience using testing frameworks – visual, components, end-to-end testing.
Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
Experience with working the Figma API and design to development automation, i.e., export tokens from Figma.
Attention to detail.
Nice to have:
Experience building GitLab pipelines.
Experience using monorepo tools, such as nx.
