Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for an experienced Brisbane-based Technical Director - Power.
In this exciting role, you will perform a range of activities in the Power team in South Queensland and across the Business.
You will demonstrate and live GHD's values of teamwork, respect, integrity, and safety and will show a commitment to quality work and client satisfaction.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: The delivery of projects.Providing support with identifying opportunities.The development of proposals and winning work.What you will bring to the team: Hold and maintain chartered status, e.g.
RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent.A minimum of 10+ years demonstrated experience as an Electrical Engineer (consulting industry preferred).Experience working as an Electrical Engineer in heavy industry (ideally Mining/Water infrastructure/Building services).Proficiency in using specialist design and analysis tools for electrical studies and design e.g.
ETAP, CDEGS, AUTO-CAD, AGI-32, PTW, PowerFactory (DIgSILENT), PowerCADD, Bluebeam and MicroStation.Experience in delivery of energy projects with consultants and leading discipline packages.Developing feasibility studies, issue for tender, reference design and FEED documents at various stages of submission.Experience in leading proposals for infrastructure and mining projects.Ensuring electrical regulatory, statutory and site standards compliance for new electrical system design.Auditing site compliance with statutory, regulatory and site electrical engineering standards.Previous experience successfully delivering single discipline work packages or programme/portfolio sub-packages in a multi-disciplinary environment.Experience interfacing with associated disciplines to ensure overall success.Demonstrated working experience delivering projects of varying complexities in different environments/regions.Delivery of designs along with electrical design engineers and BIM modellers, guiding and training junior engineers.GHD is an equal opportunity employer, and we want everyone to be able to fully participate in our recruitment process.
