What are you going to doResponsibilitiesProvide practical environmental guidance to Wheatstone LNG site team (frontline teams, leaders, and Business Partners) with a focus on compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and driving environmental performance improvement using Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.Undertake field-based safeguard assurance verification and validation activities.Support site-based environmental activities including dangerous goods management, waste and environmental sampling as required, fauna management, as well as basic Health and Safety field-based support from time to time.Build productive working relationships across HSE, Business Partners, and other support teams (e.g., Perth Environment teams, Barrow Island Environmental Specialist, Sea Rangers, Environmental Monitoring Business Partners) to facilitate alignment and execution efficiency of environmental activities, safeguards, and processes.Facilitate incident investigations and learning events using Chevron approved Incident investigation methodologies (e.g., 5-Whys, SAFE, Y-tree, Learning Teams) using HOP principles.Act as a member of the site Emergency Management Team, including participation in emergency management exercises and emergency response.Build site environmental fluency.Partner with Operations personnel to deliver environmental performance.Manage spills and leaks.Oversee waste management.Conduct water sampling and analysis.Handle hazardous materials and dangerous goods.Manage drainage and stormwater.Implement PFAS management.Oversee air emissions.Manage lighting.Implement fauna management.Raise marine fauna awareness.Manage vegetation and fire.Develop strategy to outpace.Interface with Perth Environmental support.Focus on asset priorities and requirements.Conduct risk management.Essential skills and knowledgeTo be considered for this role, applicants should have:Demonstrated practical application of environmental and dangerous goods management in a field environment and understanding of relevant Western Australian HSE legislation.Practical understanding of the updated OE management system and Human and Organizational (HOP) concepts, to support environmental management and serious incident prevention efforts.Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build respectful and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders including site leaders and the broader workforce including frontline personnel and business partners.Demonstrated ability to be a visible HSE professional that adjusts communication styles to provide clear guidance to influence improvements in environmental performance and be a conduit for the workforce to raise barriers and share learning opportunities.Must have skills:Qualifications in environmental management.Extensive HSE experience.Experience in working in a resource company operating site, in health & safety.Experience working on an oil and gas facility.
