Due to considerable growth, we would like to meet with talented Perth-based Associate to Principal level Pavement Engineers who are looking to make their mark in 2025 and beyond
You will be part of our accomplished Geotechnical and Tunnels section and will work alongside our established team technical experts, assisting in bidding and delivering successful projects.
Your technical pavements expertise will be deployed across projects in the transport, power, water, mining, property, and government sectors to continue the growth of an already successful and reputable capability.
What you'll doBased in our Perth offices, you will be our Pavements subject expert within our WA team and will help provide strong technical guidance and oversight to projects within the local team.
You will have working experience in granular and full depth asphalt flexible pavement and seal designs for metropolitan infrastructure as well as remote and mine site access and haul roads.
Heavy-duty and airport pavement design experience would be welcomed.
In this role, you will involve and lead throughout the project lifecycle ranging from concept design to construction stage services.
This is a specialist technical role within our pavement design group providing practical and innovative design solutions to internal and external clients both locally and nationally.
You will also be tasked with mentoring and the development of more junior engineers, ensuring that we are cultivating and supporting our fantastic Engineers of tomorrow.
QualificationsA degree in Civil Engineering, preferably post-graduate qualification in Pavement engineeringProven and extensive experience in pavement designs (including rehabilitation) at Senior level as a minimum.
Experience in pavement construction will be well regardedProject experience with state road authorities and their design guidelines, and industry guidelinesStrong knowledge of pavement materials, including asphalt and cement modified materials, and recycled materialsAdvanced working knowledge of mechanistic pavement design software tools specifically CIRCLYExperience in pavement and geotechnical site investigation, analysis and reporting, including experience in intrusive and non-destructive pavement evaluation techniques.Passion for delivery of high-quality design reports and drawingsPossess or working toward becoming a CPEngA strong personal commitment to Health and Safety in projects and adherence to HSE proceduresAbility to work in a team environment and communicate effectivelyAbility to travel regionally or nationally as requiredSkills and AttributesNatural connectorProblem solver with a powerful team spiritOpenCuriousPassionateAdaptableSomeone ready to do the kind of work the world needsAbout the CompanyWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms.
