Qualified Aviation Tanker Driver - 261960
As a key player in the Defence industry, UGL plays a crucial role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide. From operations and maintenance to asset management and fuel supply services, our team's expertise ensures we deliver effectively and sustainably.
As a result of an expanding scope of works within UGL's portfolio, we are seeking qualified Tanker Drivers to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Amberley RAAF Base in QLD.
This would be an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation. Benefit from the opportunity to work with a Tier 1 services provider in a long-term, operations and maintenance contract.
The Role Reporting through to the Operations Supervisor, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and the defence base.Work closely with the operator to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel.Deliver the fuel to the designated fuel point, i.e., refuelling point, aircraft on the runway, etc.Operate pumps on the tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft.Communicate with internal and external teams to ensure good customer experience.What you Need You will be a strong team player, a self-starter, and a dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high-quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following:
MC/HR Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence.Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential.Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded.Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team.Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances.What we Offer This is an opportunity to join UGL as a full-time employee, on a long-term contract within the Defence sector.
