We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our team based in Macquarie Park. Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager APAC, this role is responsible for the day-to-day Procurement activities for Australia and New Zealand across all Abbott divisions.
You will support and execute strategies for indirect categories and deliver the best total cost of ownership that effectively meet the business needs and objectives while ensuring compliance to the procurement policy implementation. This role will give you exposure while growing your career. What does a day in this role looks like: Execute the procurement process and compliance including completion of associated documentation and lead supplier negotiationsExecute and provide support in the commercial relationships for indirect categories, including sourcing, contract and vendor managementSupport in tenders and contract documentation, cost, terms and conditions negotiations with appropriate vendorsManage the purchase order approval process as per policies & SOP within expected timeframeExecute and manage preferred supplier program, provide assistance to internal customers in relation to supplier and contract management. As required, act as point of escalation between the supplier and internal customerConduct training for procurement process & policies as requiredWhat makes you a successful candidate Procurement qualification with at least 3 years' of indirect procurement experienceProcurement experience within healthcare or FMCG is highly advantageousQualification in Marketing or experience in a marketing role is advantageousSAP experience is preferableExcellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with strong ability to influence and negotiate at all levelsStrong analytical, statistical and numerical/mathematical skillsAttention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to manage and build relationships with key stakeholdersDue to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
