You Will Be Responsible For:
The Superintendent Mining Operations is responsible for safely executing the 13-week mine plan, including production and development physicals, safety performance, and cost compliance to budget.
You will provide the interface between our numerous mining contract partners and employees and our Mining and Technical Teams. You will be expected to manage several contracts; engaging and managing these contractors to ensure their performance reflects our business expectations. You will also provide guidance and mentoring to Engineers, several of whom will be your direct reports.
It is expected that you will drive continuous improvements in safety and production, which is essential in a SLC production ramp-up and operational readiness phase of a block cave.
This is a leadership role within the Carrapateena Mining Team, responsible for having a significant impact on the performance, safety, and culture of the operation.
About You:
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in safety leadership.
Long-standing experience in underground mining; SLC or BC experience highly regarded.
Experience in mine design, scheduling, and production activities.
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering desirable, but not essential.
Mine managers competency desirable, but not essential.
Project management experience highly regarded.
Commercial acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions.
Ability to interact successfully with multiple internal stakeholders.
Proven experience in coaching and mentoring team members.
