About the Role
We are recruiting Team Leaders for Port Maintenance at Finucane Island on an 8D6X7N7X dayshift & nightshift roster.
The successful candidates will be motivated and enjoy working in an inclusive team environment collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Shift Maintenance you will be responsible for:
Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Working collectively with the team to deliver a safe and reliable maintenance service to our customers.
Assisting and providing coaching with preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action.
Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring of teams within the portfolio.
Ensuring conformance with BHP Values, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
Monitoring jobs in progress and looking for safety improvements in the way the job is being conducted.
Completing Field Leadership activities as per targets.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Min.
Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
Proven post-trade experience in heavy industry.
Experience operating and maintaining shift assets is desirable.
Strong safe, process-driven leadership skills.
Experienced in 1SAP work management.
The ability to work methodically and remain calm and focused in a busy and dynamic work environment.
Ability to work autonomously and to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Exceptional risk management skills and able to work effectively under pressure.
General S26 Appointment will be required.
