As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will work collaboratively with NDIS participants, acknowledging that each person is an expert in their own life.This role begins as a sub-contract position, upon demonstrating exceptional performance, there is the opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time role.Travelling to customers is a role requirement, and kilometres will be reimbursed.Success in this role is marked by:Delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring that service is person-centred and actively supports the mental wellness of our customersActively coaching and engaging customers to build their independence and ability to build strong, respectful relationshipsPromoting capacity and resilience through periods of complexity or changeCollaborating with other systems of support, including those outside the NDIS landscapeMaintaining accurate, relevant and factual notes and other documentationReporting on customer progress, goals, fund utilisation, linkages to services and changes in needs or circumstancesManaging a caseload and performing tasks autonomouslyEnsuring customers receive value-for-money support that builds their capacity and independence.About YouYou Will:Have a minimum of a Certificate 4 in Mental Health or other relevant Community Services-related discipline and 2 years+ of lived or work experience in mental health/psychosocial disabilityDemonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of people living with a psychosocial disabilityDemonstrate an understanding of the role of coaching in recovery and the application of these skills in a 1:1 or group settingConfidently facilitate and present wellbeing workshops to groups in an online and community settingWork with customers face to face and online to maintain connection and actively encourage them as they work on their recovery goalsHave expertise across a diversity of disability types, including psychosocial disability and recovery-oriented practiceDemonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including working and communicating effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionalsHave excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcel at exercising judgment and initiative while meeting deadlines in a high-demand work environmentPossess resilience and initiative, with a natural ability for problem-solving and networkingBe process-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skillsDemonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellencePossess excellent computer and CRM skillsYou Will Need:100 points of IDA valid Driver's license and comprehensively insured motor vehicleFull Australian working rightsAustralia Business Number (ABN)A valid NDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children's CheckPublic Liability and Professional Indemnity InsuranceValid Driver's licence and comprehensively insured motor vehicleLaptop, mobile phone and stable internet connectionWhy CoAbility?Stability: Benefit from working with a company that's been successfully operating since 2017.Inclusive Culture: Our team speaks over a dozen community languages and represents an array of cultural backgrounds.Growth Opportunities: Take advantage of numerous pathways for career growth within the company.Making a Difference: Each day offers the chance to positively impact someone's life.Competitive Remuneration: Competitive subcontractor hourly rate, including Superannuation contributions.Comprehensive EAP: Utilise our Employee Assistance Program for professional and personal support during life's ups and downs.Supportive Environment: We understand the challenges of remote work and ensure our team feels connected, supported, and valued, no matter where they are.Learning and Development Opportunities: Take advantage of our monthly Team Meetings, Supervision opportunities, and L&D platform.How to ApplySubmit your application, including a resume and a cover letter expressing your passion for supporting people with disability and your vision for contributing to our team.
