Permanent full-time opportunity at St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Chef to join our vibrant and friendly catering team
About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for food preparation for patients, staff, cafeteria, and functions. You will ensure a high standard of quality hospital food production and cleanliness is maintained in line with the Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards, and Hospital policy.
Duties will include, but are not limited to: Cold Larder Preparation and handling of foodPreparation & Cooking of mealsUnderstanding of patient dietary requirementsEnsuring a clean environment is maintainedWash & clean downs of equipmentDaily completion of food and safety log sheetsCompliance with food safety & HACCPOrdering of food & suppliesStock rotationYour Key Skills and Experience Certificate in Commercial CookingMinimum 5 years' experience as a ChefDemonstrated experience managing a teamCurrent Food & Safety Supervisor CertificateAbility to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirementsMust have a thorough understanding of allergy management practicesExcellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to successfully work in a team environmentAbility to work in a multicultural and diverse workplacePrevious healthcare setting experience will be highly regardedWhat's in it for you?
