Production Manager - Beverage ManufacturingWe are seeking a hands-on leader to manage our production team and ensure manufacturing and operational excellence. This is a genuine opportunity for the right person to make this position their own within our rapidly growing company.Ideal role for someone with strong interpersonal skills, while also being comfortable in getting your hands dirty to ensure production lines are highly efficient and results are met.Queensland Bottlers is a leading, privately owned, contract manufacturer of bottled spring water servicing some of Australia's largest retail, distribution and corporate organisations.Based in Ormeau, QLD, this role reports directly to the directors of the business and will lead the production team. Your responsibilities include staff development and training, production of finished goods ready for dispatch, inventory control, and site safety and compliance. A strong understanding of food safety and compliance is a must, while knowledge of LEAN manufacturing would be very highly regarded.Your duties will include:Manage all production activities, scheduling, and rosteringHire and manage all production and warehouse staffOH & S leadership and mentoring the production team in safetyCoordinate with the maintenance team to upkeep machinery and equipmentTeam leadership and HR responsibilities including training and development of staffEnsuring quality standards are maintained (HACCP, SQF, SMETA)Implementation of continuous improvement initiativesTo be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and a "can do" attitude. You will also have to demonstrate the following:Experience in a similar role (preferably in the food & beverage sector)Robust understanding of manufacturing processesA proven track record in the same (or similar) roleHave a mechanical aptitudeComfortable in a high-paced and demanding environmentLead a manufacturing team to embrace and strive for excellence in their workQualifications:Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent (not essential but desired)Trade Certificate or diploma (not essential but desired)Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years in the food & beverage industry, manufacturing managerial experience or similarThe company will offer an attractive remuneration package along with a collaborative team-focused environment – this is your chance to make this position your own.
