About the Role The psychologist will work with consumers at CCU along with their families and/or carers to provide evidence based psychological assessments and interventions.
The psychologist will work with a diverse range of consumers who are experiencing significant mental health issues and associated psychosocial difficulties.
Additionally, the psychologist will provide secondary consultation to the multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders regarding the engagement, assessment, formulation, treatment and management of consumers.
The psychologist is required to provide supervision to grade 2 psychologists and students.
Key Result Areas: Provide evidence based psychological intervention for individuals and/or groups at the CCU.Provide a comprehensive range of psychological assessments including diagnostic, cognitive and personality assessments.Assist with diagnostic clarification, formulation and treatment planning.Prepare psychological reports, and provide effective verbal and written feedback to referrers, consumers and their families/carers and other professionals supporting their care.Develop and implement behavioural support plans and other management plans as required.Offer a psychological perspective (e.g., understanding of the theories of human behaviour and psychopathology) to the treating team and other relevant stakeholders.Supervise Grade 2 psychologists and students on placement as directed by Discipline Senior or delegate.Identify and refer to appropriate ongoing psychological support as part of discharge planning.Actively participate in own supervision and professional development.Actively participate in reaching operational business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and participate in department meetings and other meetings when requested or required.Ensure quality, timeliness and relevance of psychological services are provided.How to Apply Applications are accepted via the Monash Health online EHub system.
