Pathways And Capacity Manager

Management (Community Services & Development) Full time The Pathways & Capacity Manager will oversight and manage the pipeline of animals coming into and through RSPCA SA with the ultimate goal of reducing unnecessary nights in shelter.
The role connects all incoming pathways, logistics and support services with the goal of identifying the optimal pathway, outcome and/or placement options for animals at the earliest possible opportunity.
The goal of the position is to reduce the number of incoming animals; ensure efficient intake processes; triage animals to foster and partners to minimise shelter strays; oversight and partner with relevant teams to reduce the length of stay.
This role will collaborate closely with the Inspectorate, Clinical Operations, and Animal Operations.
The position will also be responsible for coordinating RSPCA SAs large intake response.
This role will report to the Head of Development Pathways & Capacity and is required to work closely and collaboratively with all RSPCA SA teams.
Key success measures for the role: Manage the pipeline of animals incoming ensuring all interventions are in place to keep people and pets together and prioritising the animals that only RSPCA can help such as via our InspectorateWork to reduce the number of animals needing a shelter stay by developing our foster program and partnerships with rescue partnersWork with RSPCA departments to monitor and support a reduction in the length of stay for animals in shelterOngoing development and analysis of data to inform decision making and regular reporting against key success factors and KPIsCoordination and support of large scale seizures through our InspectorateCoaching, leading and developing a collaborative and cohesive teamWorking in accordance with our valuesThe successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate: An interest in animal welfare and single-minded focus on the best outcomes for the animals in SAExperience in managing and coordinating multi-functional projects, logistics and teamsUnderstanding of and experience in developing data reporting and analytics and applying these to ensure accurate reporting and business operationsMeticulous attention to detail and organisation while managing multiple projects and team priorities at the same timeA commitment to continuous improvementA commitment to leading with courage, empathy and respectAs this is a unique and diverse role, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and need to be available for a pre-interview briefing on the role requirements and accountabilities.
