Senior Employee Relations Advisor

People Capability; Statewide Operations; BrisbaneThe Senior Employee Relations Advisor partners with supervisors and managers in the business to provide high level operational and tactical education, advice and support that ensures employee relations matters are addressed, managed and resolved in a timely and consistent manner.Support a performance driven culture that emphasises a human centred approach to the provision of employee relations matters.Support supervisors and managers to achieve timely and consistent resolution of their employee relations matters that may include advising about the review of and response to grievances, managing underperformance, attendance management, and addressing conduct matters, consistent with best practice protocols.Provide informed contemporary advice to supervisors and managers on a wide range of employment matters that support effective employee relations outcomes.Prepare accurate and timely communication including sensitive correspondence, reports and briefings.Build and maintain a strong, solutions driven, customer service relationship with all key stakeholders.Liaise with employees to assist with the resolution of low-level interpersonal conflict and other employment issues.Assist with the development and implementation of a diverse range of contemporary strategic workforce policies, programs and initiatives that drive improved organisational performance and culture change outcomes.Interpret and communicate relevant data and metrics that informs business decision making.Assist with the preparation of written submissions for the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.Assist with the representation of the department before the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.Perform other duties as instructed that are reasonably within your competency, skills and training.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
