We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.Our Vision is "A Spirit-led disciple-making movement: doing all the good we can because every life matters".About the roleReporting to the HR Business Partner in Wesley Human Resources Operations (HR), the HR Assistant provides generalist HR and administrative support to the HR Operations Team and Wesley Mission staff.The successful applicant will be a quick learner, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
You will have previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within an HR function or team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow and develop in their HR skills and knowledge with the potential for further development and growth subject to the individual's capabilities, strengths, and interests.A qualification within the HR or Business Administration field would be advantageous in securing this role.Duties and responsibilitiesSupport the HR team in providing timely and accurate HR advice and correspondence to staffCoordinate review and updates of HR templates, policies, procedures, and formsGeneral office administrationProvide support for recruitment, selection, induction, and exit processes as requiredAssist with HR projects and event coordinationProcess invoices and expense reconciliationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone mannerIntermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience with databases and online systemsAcute attention to detail, initiative, and thorough completion of tasksExcellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise competing demandsAbility to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environmentAbility to exercise discretion/confidentiality when handling sensitive informationDiploma or tertiary level qualifications within the Human Resources or Business Administration fieldPrevious experience within an HR function or teamExperience working with Oracle PeopleSoft and accounts payable.RemunerationEmployment conditions and remuneration will be in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award, Grade 4 with generous salary packaging opportunities available.Apply nowTo apply, please submit a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and your current resume.To enquire and submit an application, please contact Jo Stewart.Wesley Mission is a Christian organisation requiring all staff to affirm its values.
