Flexible working arrangements will be considered in accordance with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Enterprise Agreement 2024-27.
Merit list/pools and how they will be used Applicants suitable for the role but not offered the position for the current vacancy may be placed in a merit list or pool.
If the applicant agrees, the results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies for filling similar roles.
Applicants may be offered a future role without the need to reapply.
A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.
This merit list/pool may be used to fill other vacancies in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide.

We are looking for enthusiastic, curious, and driven individuals to fill multiple Human Resources (HR) positions across our People and Organisation Design branches.

We currently have vacancies in the below teams, and will also be establishing a merit pool to fill similar vacancies that arise over the next 18 months:
Workforce Planning Workforce Strategy Capability/Learning and Development Workplace Relations The key duties of the position include: Delivering HR outcomes for #TeamDEWR – overseeing the delivery of services and/or strategies to deliver meaningful HR outcomes to DEWR people and culture.
Leading, coaching and empowering a team – building expert capability within a team by fostering a culture of curiosity, respect and excellence.
Engaging and collaborating – working with key stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities, develop and consult on solutions, and establish partnerships to achieve results.
Problem solving – being curious and providing complex advice and solutions to workforce matters.
Contributing to branch leadership – planning work, managing resources, and aligning priorities with business outcomes.
Role modelling behaviours – demonstrating inclusivity, collaboration and encouraging curiosity and innovation.
Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.
This is a designated security assessed position.
The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool.
The pool might be accessed to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies for similar roles in the Department over the next 18 months.
Notes Qualifications and Education
Qualifications in human resource management, psychology, business or another relevant discipline (desirable).
Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Certified HR Practitioner or equivalent industry certification (desirable).
