Cyber Security Engineering Manager

Lead and build a high performing Cyber Security Engineering function Reputable Australian Financial Services client Sydney / Hybrid About the Role: Kapital Consulting has been engaged by a leading Australian Financial Services Client in the search for a new Cyber Security Engineering Manager to be based in Sydney and reporting into the GM of Technology and Cyber.
This is a critical role for the business as it will lead a team of cyber security engineers who will build security engineering threat models, security architecture and security assurance for the business working closely with Cyber Security Operations and also Cyber Security GRC teams.
The role will also be responsible for all major cyber security engineering threats and incidents.
Skills Required: An experienced Cyber Security Engineering Manager able to operate at the GM and C-Suite working with various Operations and Technology teams Must have exposure to Banking, Financial Services or Insurance .
Must have come from a Cyber Security Engineering background earlier in your career Recent managerial experience for a team of 5-15 cyber security engineers and a solid people manager able to build a high performing team.
Responsible for major cyber security engineering threats and incidents and cyber security engineering board reporting Able to manage multiple security and compliance engineering initiatives Able to assist, from a cyber security engineering perspective , in the journey to implement regulatory compliance for APRA CPS230, CPS234, CPG235 and other APRA requirements relating to the Australian Financial Services industry which must be maintained.

Able to work well cross cultural domains with a high level of EQ Excellent communicator.
