About the role: As Senior Manager - HSE Management Systems, Insights, Capability & Programs you will lead the development, integration and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management systems across multiple complex business units.
You will ensure that Origin's HSEMS and each business unit's HSEMS aligns with both regulatory requirements and corporate standards while accommodating the unique operational needs of each unit.
The role works closely with other leadership roles in the Origin HSE Discipline and Business Unit leaders to deliver the HSE strategy, ensuring consistent HSE practices and enabling safe operation of Origin's businesses.
Key responsibilities: Develop and Execute HSE Strategy and Plans: Drive the development and execution of HSE plans with clear goals, objectives, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with Origin's overall strategy and priorities to improve performance.
Lead HSE Management System Design and Optimisation: Lead the design, development, and optimization of HSE management systems across business units, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, corporate objectives, and continuous improvement.
Provide Leadership and People Management: Build and mentor a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team by providing coaching, development, and fostering teamwork, while promoting Origin's values and leadership habits.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management: Work closely with BU and HSE leadership, external stakeholders, and government bodies to ensure collaboration and integration of HSE initiatives and strategies to manage risks effectively.
HSE Program, Insights and Capability Oversight: Lead the implementation of HSE programs, actionable data insights, competency frameworks, and training, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with operational needs, while also participating in emergency management processes.
What will you bring?
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) and/or system management (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor) is preferred.
Extensive experience in HSE roles, preferably within the energy, oil & gas, with a focus on HSE System Managements, Programs, and Governance.
Proven experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, providing coaching and feedback, and driving team performance.
Experience in establishing and managing delivery of shared services team across large organisation, establishing repeatable processes, service levels and measuring performance.
Experience in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards.
Experience in monitoring and reporting on HSE performance metrics, identifying trends, and implementing improvements.
