Technician (Road/Workshop)

Our client is a progressive materials handling company and a Market Leader in their field, now offering an exciting opportunity for a Technician (Workshop/Road) to join their expanding team. The Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, repairs, and servicing of equipment both in the workshop and on-site, ensuring efficient and reliable service for all customers.Key duties and responsibilities:Perform service, maintenance, and repair of equipment both in the workshop and at customer locations.Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues on a wide range of machinery and equipment.Complete all repairs efficiently, ensuring that equipment is returned to operational condition.Liaise with customers on-site, providing clear explanations of work performed and advice on future maintenance.Conduct pre-service inspections and post-repair testing to ensure the quality of work meets company standards.Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the workshop and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Manage and document all service work, including logging repair details, parts used, and job completion in the company database.Coordinate with the parts department to order, track, and install necessary components for repairs.Provide breakdown assistance to customers on the road, responding promptly to service calls.Adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime for customer equipment.Ensure company vehicles and tools are properly maintained and ready for service at all times.Support junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and providing guidance as needed.To be considered for this position, you will have:Proven experience as a technician in a workshop or field-based role.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.A trade qualification in a relevant field such as Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Mechanics, or similar.The ability to work independently in the field, as well as collaboratively in a workshop environment.A valid driver's license, with the ability to drive to customer sites as required.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.What our client will offer you in return:A challenging and rewarding role with a variety of workshop and field work.Permanent, full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule (with the possibility of overtime).Competitive salary and potential for career growth within the company.Comprehensive training on new equipment and technology.A strong team environment with supportive management and a focus on work-life balance.Access to a company vehicle for field service jobs.Application:If you would like to be considered for this exciting opportunity and meet the above criteria, please click APPLY NOW and submit your CV.
