About the roleRoy Hill is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Contracts Sourcing Specialist to become an integral part of our Procurement and Supply team. Reporting to the Principal Contracts Sourcing, within the Strategic Sourcing Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering contract packages and sourcing strategies, all aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes for our business.Your role will involve optimising the procurement process to improve efficiencies and reduce costs, thereby enhancing the overall value delivered to the business through strategic end-to-end sourcing of goods and services. You will also engage in category management planning to ensure effective procurement strategies. Leveraging market analysis, trends, and best practices, you will identify ongoing suppliers and sourcing opportunities. Be a part of a company committed to excellence and continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain management.Duties:Lead the management of contracts, focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractor performance measurement, analysis, and improvementUndertake end-to-end strategic sourcing in line with the business requirements of category managementUse sound commercial judgment in applying contractual terms and conditionsProvide comprehensive contract life-cycle support, encompassing all contractual and commercial activities, and develop and implement well-defined category strategiesProvide commercial and contractual support across the business, ensuring value delivery through performance improvement, a Total Cost of Ownership focus, and effective contract managementBuild positive supplier relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation, and cost savingsUndertake appropriate market analysis to achieve best value in goods and servicesSupport cost reduction initiatives and security of supply of goods and services for Roy HillSkills and experienceExtensive experience in contracts or category management within mining or comparable industriesAbility to develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersExperience in the development and implementation of category strategies delivering value for businessProactive with a positive mindset towards problem-solving and the ability to influence positive outcomesSpecific experience developing sourcing strategies, RFx's, and contract negotiationStrong computer literacy, written skills, including drafting of internal and contract artifactsTertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Legal (Construction Law) or related disciplineHow to applyClick APPLY to submit your application.To be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.Please note that unsolicited applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.
