They're inquisitive, pioneering industry firsts and pushing new ideas to deliver exceptional outcomes.This passion and expertise creates an employee experience that puts wellbeing, flexibility and opportunity first.The roleDue to growth, we are looking for a Portfolio General Manager to join our Retail Asset management team.A senior role within the GPT Retail Business, the Portfolio General Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing and driving the ongoing performance of a portfolio of assets within the GPT retail division.
This covers the delivery of financial returns, the provision of leadership and direction of multiple assets, overseeing the development of strategic business plans to optimise the investment performance of the assets and liaising with various owners on the ongoing performance of their assets.What you will be doingDriving the strategy of the designated assets through overseeing the development and the implementation of the Business plans, in collaboration with the Owners, Leasing General Managers and Development Directors and the Centre Teams.Reviewing with the Centre Managers the key issues and key performance indicators to track progress of the Centre Business Plan Implementation.Leadership of the respective portfolio teams including management of KPIs and succession planning discussions.Overseeing & driving the Net Profit /Capex /Asset Plan performance of designated assets.Working with the Head of Asset Management on setting the annual stretch targets for the assets and driving the assets to achieve them.Assisting to develop strategies to optimise Net Income Performance and through growing revenue and minimising expenditure.Maintaining key stakeholder relationships through participation in meetings with National Retailers, attending property industry functions and ensuring collaboration between internal teams.Ensuring all centre teams within the designated portfolio are compliant with the respective policies and procedures.Working closely with the Head of Asset Management and other Portfolio Managers on developing and driving the Asset Management Strategy for the Business.Maintaining strong relationships with the respective owners and fund managers to ensure their needs are met and presenting to them on matters pertaining to their assets and portfolio.What makes you stand outYou will be a tertiary qualified General Manager with experience within the Property sector or related industry and with significant experience in dealing with Property Owners.You will be skilled in strategic planning and management, with demonstrable examples of developing and leading successful strategies to exceed targets and maximising revenue and minimising expenses to deliver sustainable returns.You will be an inspirational People Leader with the proven ability to grow, develop and retain high performing teams.This role would suit a General Manager looking to work landlord side on premium Retail assets and expand their commercial property career horizons in a growing area of GPT's business.What makes us stand outEnjoy flexible working arrangements and generous leave options.Experience market-leading parental leave benefits including 22 weeks paid leave for either carer and childcare allowance once you return to work.Embrace diverse and challenging career opportunities, supported by our dedicated Learning & Development Team committed to your growth.Engage in comprehensive Wellbeing programs and benefit from market-leading policies and support tailored to diverse needs.Be recognised by peers through nomination awards and take part in our generous Employee Referral Program.We know the power of a great experienceRanked 5th in the 2024 Gender Equality Global Report released by Equileap.Achieved number 2 real estate company in S&P Global Sustainability Assessment.Earned a silver ranking in Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) for LGBTQIA+ inclusion.Awarded our fourth consecutive Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) in 2023 - 2025.Committed to our second Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).GPT offers an inclusive workplace culture and embraces people with diverse perspectives, skills and backgrounds.
