Through our employee assistance program (EAP) we provide mental health support for employees and their families.
How you will make an impact: As an EAP counsellor, you will provide in-person counselling services to TELUS Health's EAP clients in your area, on an as-needed basis.
You will be working as an independent contractor based on your ability to accept new clients.
You will provide short-term counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various issues, within the terms and conditions of the client's EAP.You will manage the administrative requirements as dictated by TELUS Health's clinical models.What you bring: You possess a master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.You are fully registered with the NS College of Social Workers or the NS College of Counselling Therapists and hold valid professional liability insurance.You have post-graduate counselling experience with multiple populations.You demonstrate the ability to set short-term objectives and use a solution-focused approach.You have the ability to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or others.You have good knowledge of community resources.A bit about us: We're a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
