Permanent Risk & Compliance Officer job opportunity with a national professional services business located in Brisbane CBD.
Our client is a well-known professional services organisation located in Brisbane with offices across Australia. They are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to join their business on a permanent basis to support their highly experienced Risk & Compliance Manager in implementing policies and best practices across the whole organisation.
Key responsibilities: Maintain the practice's Quality Management System (QMS) certification under ISO 9001:2015.Maintain the practice's policies and procedures in consultation with the relevant Shared Services teams and Practice Groups.Observe internal processes and procedures, evaluate their effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Manage all non-conformities.Carry out internal audits.Work with the business to review compliance obligations and identify and remediate control gaps.Assist the business in identifying risks, including identification of risk causes, controls, and development of action plans to address control gaps.Assist with the validation of risk and compliance incidents.Help with the response to business resilience.Assist the business with the response to modern slavery. What we are looking for: The position interacts with all levels of stakeholders in the business and is expected to function with autonomy.Experience in a quality management or auditing role and understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Understanding of risk management principles.Experience in conducting internal audits and developing audit processes.Ability to work autonomously and the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Experience in the legal industry preferred but not necessary.
