The overarching vision of Mid Air is to deliver engaging and vibrant dining experiences to all diners and guests in the heart of Melbourne.Key ResponsibilitiesVenue OperationsOversee day-to-day operations of Mid Air's event spaces, ensuring smooth functioning and efficient use of resourcesManage all aspects of venue hire, including bookings, client liaisons, and event executionDevelop and implement venue hire policies, procedures, and operational standardsFinancial ManagementPrepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and implement strategies to maximize revenueDevelop pricing packages, negotiate with clients, and manage invoicing and reconciliationsTeam LeadershipLead and manage the venue team, including recruitment, training, and performance managementDelegate tasks, supervise staff, and coordinate different departments to ensure seamless event deliveryClient RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the event planning and execution processHandle inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholdersMarketing and Business DevelopmentCollaborate with the marketing team to promote Mid Air's venues and attract new clientsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the venue's client base and increase revenueHealth and SafetyEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and licensing requirementsConduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures for all eventsQualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Hospitality, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in venue management or a similar roleProven track record of successfully managing commercial venues and increasing revenueExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong financial acumen and experience in budget managementProficiency in event management software and MS Office suiteValid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificationThe successful candidate will be a results-driven professional with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
They will possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
