Aod Support Worker

Permanent part time position 0.6 to 0.8 FTE negotiableBased at our Residential Withdrawal Unit in IvanhoeSCHADS Level 3 + increase your take home pay with salary packaging benefitsYour new roleAs an AOD Support Worker, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans including drug withdrawal, in conjunction with the Registered Nurse at Curran Place, a 16 bed Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal facility.
You will be required to work a full rotating roster, including night shifts.
As a key member of the team, you will:
Supervise and provide assistance with daily living activitiesFacilitate and encourage client participation in program activitiesProvide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and support services to clientsDemonstrate high level team behaviours, communication skills and outstanding conductBenefits of working at UnitingOur work isn't easy, but it matters.

In addition to a salary equivalent to SCHADS Level 3 + casual loading + super, you can access the following:

A tertiary qualification in a health/welfare related discipline such as social work, psychology or health scienceA Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within first 24 months of employment)Previous experience working with people with AOD and/or Mental Health issuesKnowledge of screening, assessment and community-based treatment for clients with AOD and mental health issuesExperience in developing individual treatment plans, post withdrawal and discharge planningHow to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest.
