We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.Job DescriptionFull time, permanent position based in Welshpool, WA 6106.Entry-level position with great opportunity for career advancement.Recent graduates with university/TAFE lab experience encouraged to apply.The Occupational Hygiene Technician is primarily a laboratory based role, however may also include a field work component for the right candidate.
Laboratory analysis in the Hygiene Laboratory includes respirable and inhalable dusts, welding fumes, diesel particulate matter and respirable crystalline silica.
Laboratory analysis in the Hazardous Materials laboratory includes asbestos identification in building materials and soils, and airborne fibre counting.
Additionally, assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.
Previous laboratory experience will be well regarded, however extensive training will be provided to the right candidate.Reporting to the Supervisor, this role will be accountable for the following but not limited to:Preparing samples for analysis in accordance with sample/analysis requirements and preparation methods.Performing routine analysis, validations and project work in an efficient and effective manner.Analysis of respirable fibre counting, asbestos identification, inhalable and respirable dust (and associated airborne workplace contaminants), and diesel particulate analysis.
