Our established Engineering Service Line has developed a strong reputation for technical excellence, providing high-quality tailored services and specialist, responsive engineering, environmental, and scientific advice to a range of clients.
Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, the team is looking to bring in an experienced Senior Civil Designer to provide additional technical and design capability to the Civil & Structural team across APAC.
The role offers the lifestyle opportunity of joining a friendly and dynamic team in our modern waterside Brisbane offices (the largest of our 23 offices in APAC), whilst being part of an 800+ community of SLR APAC professionals, enjoying the benefits of a global network.
We will also be happy to consider suitable applicants from our Mackay, Townsville, Newcastle, or Wollongong offices. Responsibilities

Working on a wide range of projects across the Infrastructure, Built Environment, Manufacturing & Industry, Mining and Resources, and Power & Energy Sectors.Leading Civil Design and Documentation.Challenging the norm with the objective of continuous improvement.Developing your career while achieving excellent outcomes for our clients, developing independent internal and external relationships, and contributing to/managing exciting projects.Assisting and mentoring junior designers in the business.Contributing to the continuous improvement of design and documentation quality assurance processes, ensuring they remain robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
Experience
Outside wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:
6+ years' experience in civil design, ideally in consulting.An Advanced diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.Excellent working knowledge and experience with either 12d or Civil3D design packages.Strong civil design knowledge and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget.A thorough knowledge of drafting standards, with experience in road and local authority standards.Experience in leading the delivery of civil design and documentation packages across multiple sectors.Competency in the design of built environment and infrastructure projects including bulk earthworks, roads, water and sewer infrastructure, and stormwater drainage from concept to construction stages of projects and/or competency in the civil design of civil mine infrastructure including surface water management, tailings and waste facilities, bulk earthworks, and haul roads.Enjoying working in a positive and engaging culture and sharing ideas with the wider team.Our Benefits
