About Jacinth-Ambrosia
Jacinth-Ambrosia is located 270 kilometres north of the Port of Thevenard, near Ceduna.
It is the world's largest source of zircon, and a Tier 1 deposit with extensive reserves.
It is the first mining development in a mixed-use regional reserve – the Yellabina Regional Reserve – in South Australia, with the operation demonstrating a commitment to high environmental standards and progressive land rehabilitation.
Jacinth-Ambrosia site has a fully equipped modern camp with facilities including a gym, pool, sports courts, recreation rooms, Wi-Fi and Foxtel.
About the role
An opportunity exists for a motivated and proactive Mine Surveyor to join the team at Iluka's Jacinth Ambrosia fly in/fly out Operation based in South Australia.
This is an 8/6 roster, reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer and forming an integral part of the site mining activities.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Undertaking routine surveys to measure movements to and from excavations, landforms and stockpiles Providing accurate data and volume calculations for End of Month process Survey control of the installation approved mine designs through field-based mark up Assessment of volumes moved, areas altered and conformance to design Support of exploration set out and/or grade control drilling The proper utilisation of drone technology to capture data About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Degree or Diploma in Surveying High standard of behaviours that align with Iluka's values of Integrity, Respect, Courage, Accountability & Collaboration Pro-active approach to safety and environment Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills Enthusiasm to join a cohesive team that learns from and teaches each other Willingness to be hands on conducting regular field work Demonstrated experience in operations in a Survey capacity C Class Driver's License It would also be beneficial if you have:
Experience in mineral sands operations Experience with Deswik.CAD and Maptek I-site CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) Our offer to you
