Description Director of Cost Management We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our cost management team and drive the financial success of large-scale construction, infrastructure, and energy projects in the APAC region.
Location: Brisbane, APAC Region
About Our Client Our client is an award-winning construction consultancy with ambitious goals to significantly expand their global presence.
With a strong track record of growth and expansion, they are now looking to build a talented team to support their vision.
Role Overview The Director of Cost Management will be responsible for leading and overseeing the cost management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cost consultancy services to clients in the APAC region.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the preparation and review of cost estimates and cost plans, including benchmarking Developing Value Engineering and Life Cycle Costing options to optimize project costs Identifying potential risks and maintaining the Risk Register Participating in pre-contract meetings and providing valuable cost insights Developing and preparing detailed cost control reports Attending client and design team meetings, advising on cost implications and capturing meeting outcomes Contributing to the development of project templates and cost management processes Overseeing the preparation and processing of change order logs, invoice logs, and cost reports Conducting measurements and research pricing for development appraisals Drafting and finalizing pre-qualification questionnaires and reviewing responses Maintaining and enhancing cost control processes, including cost applications, schedule of values, buyouts, and change orders Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years of cost management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Project management experience is a plus Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
