The Qantas Group's main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic, and international services.Job DescriptionAs Vii's Application Support Engineer, you will provide technical support (Level 2) to Vii Clients and Account Managers to increase client program value within the Vii business. You'll be curious and eager to investigate, and assist in resolving customer inquiries, reporting requests and monitoring scheduled tasks. You will have the opportunity to work on website development and undertake testing of the Vii system to ensure all existing and new functionality is correct prior to a production release.You'll have –Production support experience –Bug fixesDevelopment of stored proceduresInvestigation of possible bugs or anomalies in data/system behaviourWebsite maintenance and designCompetence in using email, Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPointGood knowledge of XML and restful APIKnowledge of these tools is desirable but not required: Akamai, PowerShell, Splunk, SumoLogic, git, JIRA, confluence, Bamboo, Postman, FilezillaStrong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills – must be curiousExcellent analytical skills to collate, interpret, prepare and present useful information to a varied audience.Excellent attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and achieve deadlinesHighly articulate in both written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask and manage multiple prioritiesStrong sense of teamwork and experience in working within a team to achieve common objectivesExhibit high energy levels and strong personal drive in a changing environmentIf you're ready to step into a culture that will challenge and excite you, submit an application and let's explore how we go places together.Why Qantas?You'll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
