Job Description The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.
Project scope includes:
Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each directionCivil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnelsSurface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah FreewayIn line with the above, ACCIONA is now seeking a Project Engineer - Precast to join the Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2 Project. You will support operations out at our Precast facility at Emu Plains.
Specific Tasks Include Ensure that the scope is delivered within the allotted time and budgetAssist in planning material, resources and systems usage for successful, cost-effective, and best-practice project completionMonitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.Participate in client/contractor/subcontractors meetingsManage cost control for certain scope of works and maintain 6 weeks look aheadRead and interpret design plans and drawingsSupervise, mentor and support Site EngineersRequired Skills and Competencies Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or similar)Demonstrated experience in a similar rolePrecast experience would be highly beneficialProblem-solving and analytical skillsWell-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities and internal staffHigh attention to detailACCIONA has been awarded Top Employer 2023 Certification in Australia from the Top Employers Institute.
