Sole Engineer - 40m Private MY – Auckland & Fiji Are you an engineer looking for a semi land-based role in Auckland?
Position Snapshot Auckland based (10 months), Fiji (2 months)Live ashore, 5 day working weekFishing FocusFlexible on COCA high profile 40m Private MY is on the search for a sole engineer to join their established program.
The crew largely work a 5-day working week and all maintain a home base in Auckland.
The vessel operates purely around NZ waters mostly fishing, 10 months/year.
Mid-winter, the vessel heads to Fiji for a guest trip, with a gap in between where the engineer has the opportunity to fly back to New Zealand for a mini break.
Powered by twin MTU engines. The engineer must be hands-on and can assimilate well into a small crew environment where everyone pitches in to get the job done, occasionally assisting on deck.
Handover given from outgoing engineer of several years. Great lifestyle role for the right candidate looking to maintain a New Zealand base.
