Silver Edge Engineers develop and deliver data-driven asset management solutions for rail, port, mining and resources, critical infrastructure and future industries customers across Australia.
Our Lead Rail Engineer is responsible for new business, maintaining customer relationships, project management, technical advisory and developing the capability of our team.
Manage the engineering pipeline of work pursuing leads, developing the opportunities and securing contracts Active engagement with customers to understand their problems and develop solutions for their needs Manage tendering and procurement activities including estimating, proposal writing, client document control, lead capture in our CRM database Manage and lead the engineering team resources, providing technical advice and mentoring Integrate engineering principles with data analysis - asset current condition, operations, maintenance and renewal activities Lead root cause analysis Commercial management of projects including project forecasts, in accordance with company and customer requirements Project management, ensuring time, cost, safety, quality, environmental performance expectations are met Engineering and technical advisory to all project stakeholders Complying with all company and client safety obligations, policies and procedures About You Your drive to lead and develop the capabilities of those around you, will strengthen your team.
Your personal engagement with customers will develop a clear understanding of their needs to solve their problems with tailored solutions.
Your experience in infrastructure project delivery will lead you to success in this role.
You will also have :
15+ years' experience in a similar role as Rail Specialist A degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a similar quantitative field eligible for Engineers Australia Membership Strong verbal and written communication skills Initiative to continuously develop the overall Silver Edge offering Preferably, you will also have experience with:
Maintaining and documenting work delivery or asset management processes Rail maintenance practices Management and definition of rail defects and managing root cause analysis Skills in data analytics tools such as Power BI Why Silver Edge?
