Physiotherapist

This is a full time position for a physiotherapist in a busy private practice encompassing general outpatient work across all age groups including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, sporting injuries, pre-employment testing, NDIS, rehabilitation and aged care.
We are seeking a physiotherapist with an interest and experience in a manual (hands on) approach to treatment.
The successful applicant can expect ongoing mentorship and professional development.
New graduates are encouraged to apply with the view to compounding knowledge and skills gained during undergraduate study and gaining experience in a clinical setting with experienced clinicians.
The position requires:
Experience in musculoskeletal manual therapy skills (hands-on approach to treatment) is highly regarded.
An ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions using sound clinical reasoning skills.
An ability to provide an appropriate treatment plan, exercise prescription and progression is essential.
Experience in pre-employment health checks is an advantage although not essential.
Full training is provided and includes drug/alcohol testing, vision, hearing, spirometry and physical function.
An interest/experience in occupational rehab is highly regarded though not essential.
Training can be provided.
An interest/experience in aged care is advantageous.
New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
The Physiotherapist must have:
Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy Current full registration with AHPRA - applicants with limited registration not suited to this role Australian Driver's licence and own vehicle Sound knowledge of the Australian health system and best practice in private physiotherapy customer service delivery Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to liaise with managers, clinical and administration staff, service providers, and consumers Commitment to providing client care of the highest evidenced based standard Commitment to continuing education The Physiotherapist must possess the following personal skills:
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment Be self-motivated and show initiative Caring and respectful manner Sound conflict resolution and negotiation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to accurately document and maintain client notes/records Exceptional interpersonal skills Sense of humour Ability to communicate effectively with other allied health/medical professionals and external stakeholders Commitment to ongoing professional development – opportunities exist to gain new skills/knowledge in a clinical setting About the role
Manage a varied musculoskeletal caseload of acute and chronic clients across all age groups Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans with the aim to improve clients' health and well-being.
Perform pre-employment assessments - full training provided Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with external stakeholders Benefits and perks
