Principal Advisor (Rail Contracts Management) Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site: )

In the role of Principal Advisor (Rail Contracts Management), you will undertake contract management activities to support the delivery of passenger rail transport services in Queensland to meet government objectives.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Management of large-scale complex performance-based rail service contracts, ensuring that all parties' obligations are met through the adaptation and implementation of contract management frameworks.
Undertaking and building strong administrative processes and controls.
Proactively analysing issues and managing their resolution, which may result in variations to the service contracts, to support the achievement of transport objectives and outcomes.
Consulting, collaborating, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders and representing the department at various forums such as Contract Management meetings.
Providing expert advice and preparing complex ministerial correspondence, performance reports, briefing notes, cabinet submissions and other general correspondence on behalf of the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Director-General, General Manager and Executive Director.
Requirements of the role:
Contract Management experience including principles and methods relating to service contracts.
Analytical skills and experience with operational and financial Key Performance Indicators and measures, including analysis of issues and the production of performance reports.
Stakeholder Relationship Management with a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
High level communication skills with experience in providing written and verbal advice to support the development of executive-level briefing notes, ministerials, reports, and other correspondence in line with departmental standards.
