Senior Finance Officer

If so, an exciting opportunity exists to join the Queensland Police Service (QPS) as a Senior Finance Officer in the Finance Division.
There are two roles on offer in the Budget Management team which support various business areas in QPS through preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, reporting and forecasting, and providing financial management advice.
Your key accountabilities Contribute to strategic and operational financial management services for the organization and QPS business areas, including preparation of monthly financial performance results incorporating variance and trend analysis and forecasting insights.Coordinating the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and forward estimates to support Government and organizational priorities.Provide specialist input into costing and modelling activities and customised reporting solutions to support business areas and projects.Research matters to prepare quality reports, submissions, correspondence, and briefing notes for management on financial management issues and impacts.Provide specialist finance advice to key internal and external stakeholders and develop strong working relationships.Foster teamwork and assist with the ongoing development of staff through team leadership and performance management processes.Role Requirements Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
There are no mandatory requirements for this role; however, the following would be highly regarded:
